Teli Proto : To make the experience of receiving a gift or product for a newborn child a very special celebration. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Teli Proto : We plan to export the designs internationally. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Teli Proto : Over a three mont period. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Teli Proto : Designed for Tic Tac Toe. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Teli Proto : Being used by Tic Tac Toe. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Teli Proto : No .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Teli Proto : Anyone looking for a gift for a newborn baby. .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Teli Proto : The endearing animal scene die cut into the packaging, and the double sidedness of the packs. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Teli Proto : Rhinoceros for 3D, Adobe Illustrator for 2D, Origami .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Teli Proto : Single card folded to double sided packaging. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Teli Proto : Karin Muller .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Teli Proto : Technology plays a minimal role. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Teli Proto : Extensive research was conducted by Tic Tac Toe with its customers to determine the needs of the target market. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Teli Proto : The reversible shoes needed to be displayed front and back which meant the packaging had to be truly three dimensional (there is no traditional front or back), yet still retain the family appearance of the clothing pack. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Teli Proto : Through Design Indaba advert .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Teli Proto : To simplify everything as much as possible. .
